ANCIENT WISDOM

There is a natural, spiritual phenomenon amidst tribes around the world that have never communicated with one another.  A sense of something deeper and more meaningful than what we perceive with our five senses.  Rituals performed daily dating back more than 10,000 years.  Spirituality cannot be seen or simply heard.. . . it must be experienced to truly feel it.  

Our spirtually conscious and culturally mindful team will journey to the heart of the Brazilian rainforest to participate in the Yawanawa's way of life.  From sacred songs and dance to ancient medicines and ceremonies we will observe these ancient wisdoms.  Are there traces of this spirtuality within the western world?  Does it reside within us all?

Due to recent struggles to keep and protect their land, the Yawanawa tribe has begun to invite "outsiders" into their tribe in the hopes of spreading their message of love and care for the natural world.  We will capture these ways of life through cinematography, editing and story-telling so viewers truly feel this way of life.  Only then will an empathy for their message embody a sensitivity for consciousness in the western world.

THE YAWANAWA TRIBE

The Yawanawa tribe is located at the Gregoria River, between Peru and Bolivia, not far from Acre. The tribal language belongs to the Pano linguistic group of Western Amazonia. Hunting and Fishing are two of their main economic activities. Oftentimes the hunted food will be the only resource of alimentation in difficult weather conditions.

WITH RESPECT TO THEIR CULTURE

One of Blend's partners, Nick Waraksa, and his wife, Nico Waraksa, have spent many hours with members of the Yawanawa tribe in Ibiza, Spain and California.  Thier relationship and sensitivity to the sacredness of the Yawanawa tribe and way of life will be this documentary's guide and vision for capturing the essence and importance of the Yawanawa's dedication to spirituality.

The Amazon Rainforest has been in trouble for quite some time.  We're entering another era of political, natural, and global entanglement that puts these rainforests at risk yet again.  The footage captured by Blend Studios will be incorporated into several different videos and social media posts for the Yawanawa Tribe to raise awareness.  This footage will also be incorporated within other documentaries in an effort to educate the world about what's happening in brazil and what is at stake for the souls living within the forest and how this impacts the world at large.

THE MAGIC IN STORYTELLING

"ROSE COLORED GLASSES".  This is a famous term used to depict HOW you see someone or something.  This embodies the basic principles of "perspective".  Perspective can very easily be influenced by your culture, where you grew up in the world, and your spiritual beliefs.  In the art of film making, HOW you see something will determine exactly how one will feel viewing it.  Important details about our process make our process of storytelling unique.  Aside from the cameras and lenses we choose, our energies and relationships with the people in these different environments allows us to truly capture more than just pictures of the environment, but more so the details of what it was LIKE to be there.  

We aren't handing you rose colored glasses, we're taking the ones you are already wearing off.

CATHOLICISM IN ROME

Blend Studios has already been given exclusive clearance and captured footage of deeply religious events within one of the world's most spiritually known landmarks; The Vatican.  From the Pope, to small circle prayers, and intimate conversations we explore the depth of the of the world's most impactful religions and how it affects global consciousness, political importance and, most of all, our individual spirituality.

WALKING THE CAMINO DE SANTIAGO

In August, 2017 Bryan Mir, of Blend Studios, led a team of talented videographers on a mission to capture the sacred pilgrimage of The Camino De Santiago through Spain and Portugal.  Much like the practice of spirituality itself, this walk was an embodiment of body and soul.  Sharing this experience with our viewers in the Religious chapter of THE LIGHT will be much anticipated.
