REALITY CHECK sets out for South Africa, Kenya and Tanzania to follow Luke Eisner as he fulfils a life’s dream and processes the gravity of his father’s passing. Son of media pioneer Bill Eisner, Luke is making his name in front of the camera and establishing his voice as he navigates the world of media and spirit.

SOUTH AFRICA : Luke pursues his long-held dream of deep sea swimming with one of the most regal and misunderstood creatures of the oceans, the great white shark. Luke travels with ocean researchers off the tip of Cape Town, South Africa to learn about the sharks significance, habits and true nature while discovering what it is like to confront the fear of the unknown outside of one’s accustomed environment.

KENYA : Luke journeys to meet and experience Richard Bonham, the “Bull Elephant” who runs Big Life Foundation’s ‘army’ of ivory protectors that are on the front lines between global conservation efforts and political/corporate influenced poaching. Preservation and call to action.

KENYA : Luke travels into the bush to live with the Maasai. He explores their music, dance and cultural heritage, and the challenges the Maasai face due to economical and religious impacts on social structure and traditional lifeways. This provides Luke and viewers an opportunity for understanding, self-reflection, inspiration and action. Luke also travels outwardly to experience the grandeur of the African savanna, its immense beauty and the seemingly normal, yet extraordinary struggles for survival in daily life.

TANZANIA : Luke sets out to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. Raising out of the eastern plains to a height of 19.341 feet / 5,895 meters, Kilimanjaro represents endurance, the ascent of consciousness and touching rarefied spaces, heaven. Along the way we hear stories and cosmological legends from local guides as well as Luke’s touching account of what he has come to understand as a result of shifting his reality. As the episode closes we see Luke standing tall against the blazing colours of the rising sun.

FULL CIRCLE : We begin by meeting Luke Eisner in his day-to-day life as a rising Hollywood star. Luke travels into the heart of his passion, deep mystery and emotional processes as he comes face to face with life outside of the bright lights. He experiences different realities, is stretched and challenged, and comes to terms with how to step up fully as the son his father raised him to be. At this emotional juncture in Luke’s life, with his father passing from terminal cancer, we see Luke turning to nature, wisdomkeepers and elders for guidance while learning deeper global responsibility and how to be a son of Mother Earth, in Africa.
