REALITY CHECK takes cultural influencers on epic journeys into the mystical realms of nature, spirit and holistic wisdom to facilitate awakening consciousness and engage real-life transformation. This inspirational, ground breaking series paints intimate portraits of what it looks like to grow beyond personal, cultural and perceptual limitations to be fully alive.
During their journeys, influencers are guided by Maestros from a wide array of culturally and ethnically-diverse traditions. Augmentative and fully immersive animation will be used seamlessly to help conceptualize extended states of consciousness, interconnectedness, archetypical energies and multidimensional reality. It will be employed to help convey the depth and breath of the influencers’ experience and help articulate their process and understanding. Influencers will speak directly into camera to break the fourth wall and invite the viewer into deeper communion with what is being said. These techniques allow audiences to see this process illustrated in ways live action can never convey and documentary filmmaking has yet to fully embrace. Most importantly, they help people bridge experiential reality and make what is being communicated more relatable.

User is a music and performance star known the world over. He has touched millions of lives and appeals to a very important demographic.
For Usher’s episode we will journey to a very specific and special place - Rinkia. In this beautiful, tropical temple of transformation we will find ourselves watching him walk amidst the rivers and rainforests in the lower mountains of Peru on an excursion of solitude. Usher will have exposure to world class musicians for select ceremonial gatherings in the dark nights of the jungle to journey through the soul’s shadows and into the light. Here, many plant medicines will be utilized with an authentic, shamanic guide; Don William. Of all these medicines, Usher will experience William wield the most powerful and transformational one, a medicine that may inspire Usher’s own understanding of it; music.

Margaret Cho is a unique soul. As a professional comedian, musician, and artist appealing to the LGBT and female communities she reaches a very important part of the global demographic. In this episode we will journey with Margaret into rare and remote parts of Asia to meet shamanic samurais and ancient healers as she explores what movement and experiences can do for the journey within one’s self.
In our culture it is often poignant when we see someone that we’re used to making us laugh, tug on our heart strings. We expect a range of emotions to occur that teach and inspire the viewers of this episode to take a challenging journey themselves in hopes of the exterior world informing their internal universe.

This episode sets out for South Africa, Kenya and Tanzania to follow Luke Eisner as he fulfils a life’s dream and processes the gravity of his father’s passing. Son of media pioneer Bill Eisner, Luke is making his name in front of the camera and establishing his voice as he navigates the world of media and spirit.
We begin by meeting Luke Eisner in his day-to-day life as a rising Hollywood star. Luke travels into the heart of his passion, deep mystery and emotional processes as he comes face to face with life outside of the bright lights. He experiences different realities, is stretched and challenged, and comes to terms with how to step up fully as the son his father raised him to be. At this emotional juncture in Luke’s life, with his father’s passing to terminal cancer, we see Luke turning to nature, wisdomkeepers and elders for guidance while learning deeper global responsibility and how to be a son of Mother Earth, in Africa.
